Fat pads, located above the muscle and under the skin, play a crucial role in shaping the human face. If the facial skin were to directly cover the cranial skeleton, each of us would have a slightly more modest face shape than a skull. These structures, which fill the gap between this bony skeleton and the facial skin and give a person their characteristic facial shape, are the fat pads found throughout the face. These fat pads can sometimes be larger than normal. In fact, this is what creates our characteristic facial shape.
An aesthetically pleasing face should form an inverted triangle shape, narrowing from top to bottom. Structurally, a large inner compartment fat pad in the cheeks widens the face from below, creating a square shape with prominent cheeks.

How is the Hollywood Cheek Lift Performed?
The procedure is usually performed in-office under local anesthesia. These fat pads are accessed and removed through a 0.5 cm incision made inside the mouth at the edge of the upper molar. The procedure takes approximately 20 minutes. While the procedure is simple, it should be performed by plastic surgeons familiar with anatomy due to the presence of salivary gland ducts and the buccal nerve in the treated area.
Hollywood Cheek Lift Before and After
Aspirin should be avoided for one week before the procedure, and alcohol, painkillers, and herbal teas should be avoided for three days beforehand to ensure a smoother procedure. Swelling and swelling in the cheeks are expected for one week after the procedure. Wearing a face mask during this period will help alleviate the discomfort. A liquid diet is recommended for the first three days after the procedure, and mouthwash is recommended for the first week.
